Dallas Avenue Stormwater and T-117 Adjacent Streets Contamination Removal
Facet provided options analysis and design for a stormwater treatment and collection system which is within the Lower Duwamish Waterway Superfund site. With oversight from EPA, this non-time critical removal action removed contaminants of concern in the adjacent streets near the Port of Seattle’s T-117 site, which also underwent contaminant removal. The stormwater design used green stormwater infrastructure to the maximum extent feasible. Facet designed bioretention areas (rain gardens) adjacent to new sidewalks to treat runoff from the sidewalks and roadways. Filterra tree box bioretention systems were used where space was limited.
