Lower Taylor Creek Culvert & Habitat Restoration: Seattle, WA

Facet assisted Seattle Public Utilities with an analysis of alternatives to improve fish passage, alleviate flooding, and stabilize Lower Taylor Creek, as a subconsultant to the engineering prime, Osborn Consultanting. Our study of alternatives included channel hydrology and capacity, habitat restoration potential, fish passage culvert design, stream and floodplain restoration options, identification of flooding sources, and solutions for improved sediment transport at the mouth. A conceptual design with cost estimates was developed. This fast-track project was completed within four months.
