Bellevue School District - Puesta del Sol Elementary
Facet worked with Bellevue School District to support conversion of their rotational school site into the permanent campus for the Spanish emersion school, Puesta del Sol Elementary. Facet provided a stream and wetland study to inform the design team of critical area site constraints. We identified opportunities for restoration and outdoor classroom experiences, benefiting the school while achieving required critical area protections. Facet provided environmental permit support, including participation in community meetings and Hearing Examiner permit review. Facet also worked with the project architect to design interpretive signs and plant identification labels to enhance the learning experience for students.
